The government of Costa Rica has issued the following rules regarding its measures against COVID-19
Starting March 1st, 2022:
The capacity of people in business activities and other social activities will increased to 100% with a QR code or vaccination card. The capacity will be 50% when these documents are not required. As clarified by the Ministry of Health, these business activities also include work centers.
Starting March 7th, 2022:
The health vehicle restriction will be without effect and will only apply the pre-pandemic restriction in downtown San José, so the exception letters will not be necessary.
Establishments with a sanitary permit may operate during regular hours.
The health pass for Costa Ricans entering the country will be eliminated.
Starting April 1st, 2022:
The establishments and events will work 100%, without requiring a QR code or vaccination card.
For tourists, the health pass to enter the country will be eliminated, as well as the insurance payment requirement for unvaccinated foreigners.
Notwithstanding the sanitary measures at any time could vary by Decree or by another press release.
