1. The  Luxury Home Tax payment is due by January 15th, 2023. This tax applies to properties for residential purposes with constructions that exceed the value: 148,000,000.00 colones, (approx. US$250,000.00), in which case, the value of the land must be added and a staggered rate is charged on the total value that is between 0.25 % and 0.55% of the value of the building.

  • The deadline to pay the Corporate Tax expire on January 31, 2023. In case of having debts from previous periods, the Registry proceeds to dissolve the entity. This payment applies to all Costa Rican entities including limited liability companies (limitadas), corporations (sociedades anónimas), subsidiaries or branches.
